Three-Match T20I Series Against Ireland Begins on 6 August in Dublin

Dublin, 5 August 2025 – The Pakistan Women’s cricket team, captained by Fatima Sana, is all set to commence a packed international calendar with a three-match T20I series against Ireland Women, starting Wednesday, 6 August at the Clontarf Cricket Club Ground in Dublin.

This marks the beginning of a crucial year for the Pakistan Women’s side, which includes participation in two white-ball World Cups.

Historic Rivalry Renewed in Dublin

The upcoming series will be the fifth bilateral T20I series between the two nations. Both teams have claimed two series victories each since their first meeting in 2009. Pakistan boasts a strong overall record, having won 15 out of 19 T20Is against Ireland.

Their most recent T20I encounter came during the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 in Cape Town, where Muneeba Ali etched her name into the record books by becoming the first Pakistani woman to score a T20I century, leading her team to a commanding 70-run victory.

All three matches will be played at the Clontarf Cricket Club and will begin at 4:00 PM local time (8:00 PM Pakistan Standard Time):

  • 10 August – 3rd T20I

Pakistan Squad Highlights

The squad arrived in Dublin on August 3, following a 17-day skills camp and a five-day pre-tour camp at the Hanif Mohammad High Performance Centre in Karachi.

  • Eyman Fatima, a promising 20-year-old batter, is the only uncapped player in the squad.

  • Shawaal Zulfiqar has replaced Sadaf Shamas, who suffered a left quadriceps tear.

  • Sadia Iqbal, currently ranked world No. 1 in T20I bowling, will be looking to consolidate her position.
