Pakistan Fast Bowler Joins St. Kitts & Nevis Patriots for CPL 2025, Replaces Corbin Bosch

Pakistan fast bowler Naseem Shah is set to make his return to the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) as he rejoins St Kitts and Nevis Patriots for the 2025 season. He comes in as a replacement for South Africa’s Corbin Bosch, with the tournament kicking off on August 14.

Naseem previously turned out for the Patriots in CPL 2021, playing seven matches and claiming six wickets at an economy rate of 7.68. His standout performance came in the CPL 2021 final, where he took 2 for 26, playing a crucial role in helping St Kitts lift their maiden CPL title.

Since then, the right-arm quick has grown into a seasoned T20 performer, having featured in various leagues including the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Lanka Premier League (LPL), and Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). However, his availability for CPL 2025 remains uncertain, as Pakistan’s national team has a packed schedule, including a West Indies tour, a likely tri-series with Afghanistan and UAE, and the Asia Cup 2025 in September.

Pakistani Talent Set for CPL 2025

Naseem Shah is among six Pakistani cricketers participating in CPL 2025, showcasing the country’s growing presence in franchise cricket:

  • St Kitts and Nevis Patriots: Naseem Shah, Mohammad Nawaz
Nawaz will make his CPL debut this season, adding depth to the Patriots’ all-round options.

  • Trinbago Knight Riders: Mohammad Amir, Usman Tariq
Amir, a veteran of the league with 51 wickets in 39 matches, joins his fourth CPL team. Rising fast bowler Usman Tariq, fresh off back-to-back PSL performances, will debut.

  • Antigua and Barbuda Falcons: Imad Wasim
Imad, briefly released before the draft, rejoins the Falcons to continue his CPL journey.

  • Guyana Amazon Warriors: Hasan Khan
The spin-bowling all-rounder joins the Warriors amid reports he may consider a switch to USA cricket, though he remains committed to CPL 2025 for now.

As CPL 2025 approaches, all eyes will be on Naseem Shah and his fellow Pakistani teammates to see how they shape the league’s competitive landscape this season.
