Pakistan and India to Face Off on September 14 as Asia Cup 2025 Schedule Announced

The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has officially revealed the full schedule for the Men’s Asia Cup 2025, confirming a high-octane group-stage clash between traditional rivals Pakistan and India on September 14. The tournament will be hosted in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and played in the T20 format, serving as a crucial preparatory event ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, which is set to take place in India and Sri Lanka next February.

This year’s edition will feature eight teams, divided into two groups:

  • Group A: Pakistan, India, UAE, Oman

  • Group B: Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Hong Kong

Key Fixtures:

  • Opening match: Afghanistan vs Hong Kong – September 9

  • Pakistan’s first match: vs Oman – September 12

  • India vs Pakistan: September 14 – the most anticipated group-stage clash

  • Pakistan vs UAE: September 17 – Green Shirts conclude the group stage

Following the group stage, the top two teams from each group will qualify for the Super Four, which begins on September 20. Should both Pakistan and India advance, fans may witness another thrilling encounter on September 21.

The final of the Asia Cup 2025 will be played on September 28, where the top two teams from the Super Four will battle for the title.
