Bowlers Set the Tone

Trent Boult removed Jamie Smith for a duck with a perfect yorker.
-
Livingstone then showcased his variety, first deceiving David Warner with an offbreak before dismissing Ollie Pope with a well-disguised legspinner.

Spirit struggled for momentum throughout, with Kane Williamson’s 33 the lone resistance in an innings that produced just two sixes.
Clarke Provides the Spark

Captain Leads from the Front
Livingstone’s contribution with both bat and ball earned him the Meerkat Match Hero award. Speaking after the win, he praised his team’s performance and the Edgbaston crowd:
“We needed a win, but we came in with confidence after our last game here. The crowd are amazing and always get behind us. Our seamers were phenomenal – they nailed their yorkers – and Joe Clarke was brilliant in breaking the chase for us.”
